The lousy timing of my old furnance

How delighted I was that the first call I placed, after the firemen left, and after Home Advisor gave me local HVAC leads, was answered by Ryan. I explained what the fireman described regarding my kaput furnace when it was minus 4 outside on a Saturday, the beginning of a frigid period. Ryan finished a job and was here in one hour, diagnosed the problem and was so helpful in deciding whether to take the motor apart, cross fingers in hopes of getting parts for the 25-year-old furnace or get a new one that guaranteed I wouldn't freeze as the temps dropped lower than Antarctica midweek. They tried to do it that evening to no avail so they came the next morning early as I arrived home from a local hotel and got to work. It was wonderful; they laid tarps on my carpet, were very efficient and within four hours, I had a working furnace that began moving my temp up from 55 to 75. They answered all my questions and those of my sons who called every hour to hear how it was going. Thank you Ryan, Dave and Compass for their professionalism and a fun time getting a big job done. Hooray.
